The Indian automaker, Tata Motors, has introduced the updated 2026 Tata Tiago Base (Smart) variant at its dealerships. The new model is priced between Rs. 4.69 lakh and comes in six different variants.

According to the company, the updated Tiago Smart features a refreshed exterior design, with a new front bumper, alloy wheels, and a revised rear tailgate. Inside, the car boasts improved interior amenities, including new upholstery, a touchscreen infotainment system, and enhanced safety features.

The 2026 Tata Tiago Smart is powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, producing 85 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. The car also comes with an optional automatic transmission option.

Tata Motors has announced that the new model will be available in various trim levels, including the base Smart variant, followed by mid-range variants such as the Active and Advantage models. Higher-end variants include the Luxe, Premium, and Xline trims.

With its updated features and competitive pricing, the 2026 Tata Tiago Smart is expected to be a strong contender in the Indian hatchback market. The car will face stiff competition from other popular models such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20.

The updated Tiago Smart is part of Tata Motors’ efforts to revamp its product portfolio and boost sales in the competitive Indian automotive industry. With its aggressive pricing strategy and feature-packed lineup, the new model aims to attract a wide range of customers.
